The American Fats and Oils Association is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to foster trade and commerce within the U.S. and throughout the world for animal, fish, and vegetable fats, oils, and proteins.

The Association disseminates accurate and reliable information to the members of the corporation, to the public, and to interested Government agencies in regard to such products. The AFOA works to promote uniformity and certainty in the standards of such products and in the customs and usages of the trade; to promote friendship, sociability, and culture among its members and between the members and the public.
